About Dr Wang

 

      Dr. Zhanxiang Wang is an acupuncturist and herbalist certified by National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).  

      Dr. Wang graduated from Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine with a medical doctorate degree in 1989. He finished his PhD in integrated medicine in 2001.  Dr. Wang worked as a medical doctor in internal medicine at Xi'yuan Hospital of China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine for over 10 years before he was relocated to US. He had five-year residence training in acupuncture, neurology, cardiology, nephrology, pneumology, hematology, gastrointestinology, gynecology, and surgery of Traditional Chinese Medicine. His research on herbal medicine in cilnic was supported by China National Bureau of Chinese Medicine. Dr Wang has experiences in fertility support especially for cancer survivors.

       From 2002 to 2010, Dr Wang was relocated to US and conducted research in the field of leukemia, cancer,  diabetes and astham in the United States. As a principal investigator, part of his research is supported by National Institutes of Health (Clinical and Translational Sciences Award). In 2010 Dr Wang was appointed as Assistant Research Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Indiana University School of Medicine. Due to his excellence in these fields, Dr Wang won two academic awards from Walther Oncology Center (WOC) and was invited to give seminars in Center of Diabetes Research (CDR) and Pancreatic Islet Club at Indiana University School of Medicine.
